All zazen and classes for the month of April are online only

As of right now, all zazen sessions and study groups are online only. We expect that in-person session will begin in June, but please keep checking for further information.

If you need the zoom link for zazen or study groups, please email us at confluencezen@gmail.com for the link.

Thank you for your patience in this time of transition for us. We are excited to be moving into our new home!

Confluence Zen Center is Moving!

We have bought a house and will be moving sometime in June.

The new address is at  7112 St. James Sq. Only about a mile or so from the old center.

We are prepping the house for occupancy.

This is an exciting new phase in the life of the zendo! We will officially be able to register as a temple with the Soto Zen organization.

More information will be sent as it develops.

Unfathomable Depths Study Group Starting in May

Rev. Sekkei Harada (1926-2020) was one of the great Zen masters of our time. He was the abbot of Hosshinji Monastery in Fukui, Japan for more than forty years. This book is based on a collection of his teachings about a ten-verse poem by Tong’an Changcha.

This study group will be led by Rev. Daigaku Rummé. Ordained by Harada Sekkei Roshi in 1978, Rummé translated this text from Japanese into English with the help of Heiko Narrog. Rev. Rummé is the resident priest and teacher of Confluence Zen Center STL.

The study group will start 05 May and will continue every Thursday and the last class will be on 02 June.

Suggested Donation: $40 for the series ($20 for members). This book can be purchased from Daigaku for $18.

You may register by calling CZC at 314-669-4465 or by email to confluencezen@gmail.com
