From our teacher:

The Confluence Zen Center Sangha is very grateful for all the volunteers who came out to help during this year’s Japanese Festival. Thanks to your support we had a successful food booth. This year, twenty-two different people came to volunteer for various tasks related to the Japanese Festival including setting up and taking down the various decorations at the Missouri Botanical Garden, moving our gear from the basement of our new place to the food booth site, helping run the booth during the three-day Festival, and tearing down the booth and bringing the gear back to the Center. This is really a lot of work to do. We couldn’t do it without your help.

Zen-in-stillness is a big part of our practice and so is Zen-in-activity. Working together to make a successful food booth is an excellent opportunity to put our practice into action.
